South Capitol Street
The South Capitol Street Corridor improvements include downgrading the street from an expressway to an urban boulevard to allow for South Capitol to become a lively area of shops, restaurants, housing, offices and open space.
The South Capitol Street Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) will evaluate any potential environmental, social and cultural impacts associated with the two build alternatives.

The final selection for the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge type will be determined this summer in conjunction with the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) process.
